classroom layout.doc
Reflection: This artifact is a layout of my ideal classroom. In this classroom there are centers for almost every subject, and open environment so that the teacher can see every aspect of the classroom no matter where she stands. In addition, the students are seated in groups for cooperative and collaborative learning, and there is a technology center to incorporate media into the classroom. I will work very hard to make my classroom emulate the ideal classroom I have created because I believe that it is an environment that will be effective to teach. This artifact shows evidence of standard seven: Planning because the teacher plans the classroom based on the students academic success.
teacher planning chart.doc
Reflection: This artifact is a chart to plan the things that teachers needs to do when they are new to a school or when they are preparing to start a school year. This chart encompasses six elements that are important and gives several details. The six elements are classroom environment, student preparation materials, and procedures, getting started organization, supplies, and things to find out about. This will be especially useful for a first year teacher like I because it lays out some very important items that need to be address when planning for a successful first year of teaching. This artifact show evidence for standard seven: Planning because plans instruction based on students and curriculum goals.
Daily Objectives and Standards
Reflection: This artifact is the daily objectives and standards used in my classroom. This is helps the students plan their day and it set expectation and standards for the students. In writing the objective and standard out on the board the teacher demonstrates her lesson planning to the students. I plan to do the same for my classroom because it addresses classroom management as well as teacher planning. This artifact is evidence for standard seven: Planning because the teacher is planning instruction based upon knowledge of students and curriculum goal.
Weekly Lessons Plan Scope and Sequence
Reflection: This artifact is the weekly scope and sequence of my student teaching experience. Every week I would write up a general chart that gave a briefing of how each day would go through out my week. This enabled me to reference what I had to do as well as what I needed to plan or bring to the school each day. In addition, anyone who observe could easily see what I had been doing during my experience. Now, that student teaching is coming to an end I will continue this scope and sequence because it is a very effective method of organization and planning. This artifact shows evidence for standard seven: Planning because the teacher plans instruction based upon knowledge students and curriculum goals.
